Be Immovable
1 Corinthians 15:58 (NLT) So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.
Do you ever wonder what the purpose is behind some of the work you do? Maybe God has you on an assignment in the wilderness right now and you are just shaking your head trying to figure out what on earth am I supposed to do now! Much of the growth and learning we receive from God is not birthed from a spiritual high, rather, it's created in the valleys, in the dark moments, in times of isolation and dry land where we become so desperate for Jesus that nothing else will satisfy our needs. These are the times to dig deeper! Don't back down and don't let up! Be prayed up, fasted up, and devoted more than ever to say no to the devil and yes to the things of God! Do everything with diligence, excellence, and joy as you are really working for the Lord.
Luke 21:36 (NLT) "Keep alert at all times. And pray that you might be strong enough to escape these coming horrors and stand before the Son of Man."
Colossians 4:2 (NLT) Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart.
We will often only see things partially, it's our faith and trust in the Lord that will keep us moving forward, knowing that He is a good Father that has our best interest at hand. The more you get to know God and spend time with Him, the more you will naturally begin to trust Him and follow His promptings. The relationship requires work, just as any relationship. The great part about a relationship with Jesus is He never changes and He will never leave you. He stays with you through the hard times and doesn't bail out. His perfect sacrifice was the way for our salvation and because of that sacrifice we can now live for Him with immense joy as the treasures and mysteries continue to unfold. Do everything in love because He first loved us.
1 Corinthians 13:12-13 (TPT) For now we see but a faint reflection of riddles and mysteries as though reflected in a mirror, but one day we will see face-to-face. My understanding is incomplete now, but one day I will understand everything, just as everything about me has been fully understood. Until then, there are three things that remain: faith, hope, and love—yet love surpasses them all. So above all else, let love be the beautiful prize for which you run.
