A Powerful Easter

Easter last year, my son, Pastor Josh, worked for 4 months preparing the perfect Easter message. He and a couple of others put in countless hours on working on the church and preparing for this special day. We began with beautiful anointed worship, then it was time for Pastor Josh to share His message... well God had other plans... His presence was so thick that he couldn't move on. We are blessed that our pastors do contend for the move of God and His agenda always takes precedence over the plans of man. The alter was opened for all who needed prayer and they were each powerfully touched by the Spirit and many received words of encouragement that gave them the strength to continue pressing forward into the things of God. Others felt His love and presence like they had never experienced before. It certainly was not a traditional Easter Service, but it was beautiful to watch as healing tears flowed and hearts and lives were being transformed.

It's sad, but sometimes church services as well as our own lives can be so precisely planned out that there's no room for the Holy Spirit to intervene. Don't ever get too attached to your own plans or dreams, but remain pliable in the Lord's hands as you yield completely to His will. Yes, it's written that things should be done decently and in order... but who's order are we to follow? God's or man's? His ways are rarely like we would think but the outcome is always AMAZING!!

Galatians 5:25 (NLT) Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives.

Isaiah 55:8-9 (NKJV) “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts."

Isaiah 6:1-4 (NLT) It was in the year King Uzziah die that I saw the Lord. He was sitting on a lofty throne, and the train of his robe filled the Temple. Attending him were mighty seraphim, each having six wings. With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they flew. They were calling out to each other, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of Heaven’s Armies! The whole earth is filled with his glory!” Their voices shook the Temple to its foundations, and the entire building was filled with smoke.

Jeremiah 29:11-13 (NLT) "For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me."
