Your Eternal Purpose

Jeremiah 10:23 (NLT) I know, Lord, that our lives are not our own. We are not able to plan our own course.

Life is filled with both blessings and difficulties... that's life, right? What we need to realize is that, though lessons are learned through both, there's still more. If we are seeking God's will for our lives and desire it above our own, we are taken on an intricate obstacle course that leads us to our destiny. That being said, the destiny isn't the prime focus. On this path there's so much that needs to be done and realized. There's lives to touch, divine connections to be made, joy and pain to feel, testimonies to accumulate and deeper depths of the Glory of God to experience.

We can get in such a rush to find our purpose that we often forget how precious each day really is. The trials and lessons we learn today are forming our tomorrow. It's so easy to get focused on both the good and painful parts of this life, that we forget that God has an eternal purpose for every experience. Where we live, who we meet, trials and blessings mold us into a vessel He can use for His glory. Even our past mistakes can be used to relate to those who are currently in the same mess. There are no scraps with God, nothing wasted.... no pain too great, no sickness to hopeless to heal, no sin too offensive for the blood of Jesus to cleanse and no problem so bad that He can't fix and use for His glory.

As I think about what God's doing in our lives right now, I'm so thankful. Though we continue to see the purpose of His plan in moving us to Florida unfold...a place we absolutely love, I realize that though our God loves us so much that He desires to bless His children, I also know how intentional His actions are...I know His plans are greater than earthly blessing.... there's an eternal plan that He's strategically placing us where His will can be fulfilled. Just as every trial we've faced has brought about growth and productivity for His Kingdom, so too will the blessing, if we don't allow it to steal our attention from our first love.

Live each day on purpose, with eyes wide open, looking for His will to be manifested in your life. Who does He desire for you to speak to today or bless? What Kingdom connections is He leading you to? That new job...is there someone there He wants to bring to Jesus? That angry and hurting person that will cross your path today, maybe they aren’t just there to tick you off, but God sent them because He desires to reflect His love and character through you!

Take time to grow in the journey. Read His Word daily... you'll need it! Get to know your Bride Groom... not just about Him, but passionately pursue Him... Yes, life is precious... don't waste another moment living it to fulfill your own needs... you have an eternal purpose. Enjoy the journey as you uncover the beauty of your destiny!

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (TPT) Have you forgotten that your body is now the sacred temple of the Spirit of Holiness, who lives in you? You don’t belong to yourself any longer, for the gift of God, the Holy Spirit, lives inside your sanctuary. You were God’s expensive purchase, paid for with tears of blood, so by all means, then, use your body to bring glory to God!

Ephesians 3:11-13 (NKJV) According to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord, in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in Him. Therefore, I ask that you do not lose heart at my tribulations for you, which is your glory.

Proverbs 16:3-4 (TPT) Before you do anything, put your trust totally in God and not in yourself. Then every plan you make will succeed. The Lord works everything together to accomplish his purpose. Even the wicked are included in his plans— he sets them aside for the day of disaster.

Proverbs 20:24 (TPT) It is the Lord who directs your life, for each step you take is ordained by God to bring you closer to your destiny. So much of your life, then, remains a mystery!
