Who is this God We Serve? Part 2

A strong and powerful King who enjoys the company of His children. One who created us in His image. Though we realize we are inferior to Him, He empowers us to do great exploits beyond our earthly ability, by the power of His Holy Spirit.

He's a disciplinarian who is filled with such love and mercy that we know He only allows circumstances that will teach us spiritual life lessons and draw us closer to Him. He uses them to free us from bondage so that His Glory may be revealed to us in a new way as He delivers us from our trials.

He's the lover of our soul, our beautiful Bride Groom who takes us by the hand into depths of intimacy we never knew existed.

He's the healer of our wounds, both physically and emotionally.

His salvation is the channel used to remove our sins and His grace exposes His Holiness and purity as it's expressed in our lives, both in us and through us.

His presence is the only place that our present and past pain can be stripped away, revealing His goodness as He brings healing to our broken heart.

For me...He's all these things and so much more. He's my best friend, my comforter, my teacher, my healer, my deliverer, my provider, my strength, sound mind and ability. He's my reason for living, the breath I breath, my hope, joy, peace, and the Love of my life! I can't live without my time with Jesus.

If you don't INTIMATELY know Him then you are missing out on the best part of Christianity. There's such security in being complete in HIM!!! This relationship isn't exclusive to the chosen few.  He desires that ALL come to Him with a hungry heart, fully surrendered and seeking fulfillment in His presence!!

1 Timothy 2:3-5 (KJV) For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.

Micah 7:18 (NKJV) Who is a God like you, who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of the remnant of his inheritance? You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy.

1 Peter 2:24-25 (KJV) Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.

Matthew 16:24-26 (NKJV) Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
