Who is Jesus to You?

Is He a genie in a bottle that satisfies your every whim?
Is He the one you run to only when the pressures of life come closing in?
Is He your ticket to heaven that was purchased with a prayer? Or simply a box to check, signifying a relationship... that was never even there?
Who is Jesus to me?
He's my life source, the one I desperately seek in both the good days and bad...
He's my joy, my peace, sound mind, strength, and the love of my life...
Yes, He's where I run, but not just when the enemy chases me to His door...
I run there daily, passionately seeking deeper depths of His presence and greater knowledge of who He is... both on my face and through His Word...Oh! The beauty of His Word...
I can't explain how desperate I am to uncover the depths of His glory, the mysteries of His ways and the beauty of His love...
How do I express, even in prayer, how much I need Him and desire that He possess every area of my life, every thought and action...
I simply can't nor desire to do life without Him!
My hunger for His Word and presence has become overwhelming and hours with Him are simply not enough! It's an insatiable hunger that continually produces more desire to seek and to please Him!
Is this who He is to you?
Do my words resonate in your soul?
I know I'm not alone!
No matter where you are on the spectrum of relationship with Jesus... there's so much more!
The waves of hunger for more of His glory can be overwhelming at times...but for some... unfortunately, nonexistent. Pray that the Holy Spirit stirs hunger within your soul. Don't wait until all hell breaks loose and you turn to Him simply because your backs against the wall and there's nowhere else to turn.
Chase hard after Him! Realize even on the good days that they are so much better with your eyes focused on Him and your ear tuned to His voice as He reveals His will and desires. Then watch as He begins to manifest His power in and through you to transform the world around you!
Psalm 37:4 (KJV) Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
Collosians 3:2-3 (KJV) Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
Romans 12:1-2 (NLT) And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
2 Corinthians 4:5-7 (NLT) You see, we don’t go around preaching about ourselves. We preach that Jesus Christ is Lord, and we ourselves are your servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who said, “Let there be light in the darkness,” has made this light shine in our hearts so we could know the glory of God that is seen in the face of Jesus Christ. We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves.
