We Lack Nothing!

Psalms 23:1 (NIV) THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD, I LACK NOTHING.
If only I was smarter, knew more of the Bible, had more time or money, was a better speaker or writer, had talent or heard from God like others do, I could do amazing things for His Kingdom! There are so many excuses we can use to run from the calling of God. I know...I've used them. It used to frustrate me so much because I knew there was a calling of God upon my life, yet I didn't know how to express what He was doing on the inside of me. It would be easy for me to allow fear of failure and rejection to control and even cage me into...frankly...a very comfortable box.
My passion, as most of you know, is intercessory prayer and intimacy with Jesus. I personally would be quite comfortable just staying locked in with Him, but all of those years in the Secret Place were preparation for the things He is now calling me to do. Does that change my nature? No, I'm still the same person who would prefer not to put myself out there at the mercy of the scrutiny of others. My flesh still struggles, even battles some insecurities.
God knew when He chose us to do things that were completely impossible in the natural that it would chase us into His arms and cause us to become completely dependent on Him. Doing it afraid is completely acceptable as long as you do it! As long as you are obedient to His calling and you live a life that chases hard after God. You must have a desire to fulfill the destiny He has specifically designed for you.
I'd love to say that I take on every responsibility He gives me fearlessly, but that would be a lie. The truth is, I am desperate for His anointing to equip me for whatever task that's at hand. I can't write, preach, teach or even enter His presence by my own strength or ability, but that's ok because there's nothing we can't accomplish with His direction and power at work within us.
You may feel like you've been short changed in the gifting department and you could never be effective for the Kingdom of God, but the truth is...YOU LACK NOTHING! All that you need to fulfill His purpose in your life is in HIM. It's not about you, it's about what you allow His Spirit to do through you!
So...as my mind tries to focus on my weaknesses I'm reminded that a Shepherd directs and guides His sheep in the direction He desires them to go. As we make Jesus our Shepherd, He will lead us into our destiny and He will equip us to fulfill it, because with Him WE LACK NOTHING!!

Proverbs 3:5-8 (TPT) Trust in the Lord completely, and do not rely on your own opinions. With all your heart rely on Him to guide you, and He will lead you in every decision you make.Become intimate with him in whatever you do, and He will lead you wherever you go. Don’t think for a moment that you know it all, for wisdom comes when you adore Him with undivided devotion and avoid everything that’s wrong.
