Trust His Work in Your Life
My husband and I were asked to do the scripture reading and open in prayer at church Sunday. As usual, my husband read the scripture, and I did the prayer. I always ask Holy Spirit to pray through me... but I also had a plan... my plan...I wanted to pray a quiet, little prayer based on the scripture that was read and end by praying for the service.
Human character is interesting to me, mine included. Though I fully meant it when I asked the Lord to take control, I was a bit disappointed when things didn't go as I intended. What I had hoped to cover in prayer didn't come through... My quiet prayer? Nah... It didn't go that way either!
A few hours after church ended, I received a text from a wonderful lady who was not able to attend but watched from home. She desired to end her marriage, but the prayer gave her the push she needed to persevere and trust God for a miracle for both her marriage and her finances!! I love how the Holy Spirit works, even in spite of us!
How often do we give the reigns to the Lord but become disappointed when the outcome isn't what we expected? He has an intricate plan that's beautifully woven by His marvelous hands! It won't look the way we expect it, His ways are so much greater! We must trust the process and stop trying to control and manipulate it.
Give Him the reigns to your life today and trust that every twist and turn in the road is touching lives around you and leading you into the fulfillment of His plan for your life! He doesn't make mistakes and certainly didn't when He created you! You were designed with incredible purpose, and you are necessary for the fulfillment of God's end time plan! You were born for such a time as this!! Seek Him, study His Word and trust Him! He desires to do great things in and through you and guess what... It has nothing to do with your qualifications or even how gifted you are... it's all by His Spirit and for His purpose!!
Zechariah 4:6 (KJV) Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.
Esther 4:14 (KJV) For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father's house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?
Isaiah 26:3 (AMP) “You will keep in perfect and constant peace the one whose mind is steadfast [that is, committed and focused on You—in both inclination and character], Because he trusts and takes refuge in You [with hope and confident expectation].
Proverbs 3:5-6 (AMP) Trust in and rely confidently on the Lord with all your heart And do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways acknowledge and recognize Him, and He will make your paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block your way].
