The Warfare of Praise

Acts 16:31 (KJV) And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

Believe in the Greek is pisteúō: It means to trust or have faith in.

House here in the Greek is oîkos: It's both a dwelling and a family.

I just want to encourage those that are praying for their loved one's Salvation. We can get so focused on their actions and behavior that we forget to simply trust God's Word. He promised that as we have faith and believe, our family would come to Jesus!

I remember how it was when my son had turned his back on the Lord and chose to live life his way. For so long my husband and I lived heartbroken and distraught... every time we heard about his lifestyle, what he was doing and going through, our pain increased. We were praying and doing battle against the forces of evil, yet nothing changed. It wasn't until we learned about the power of praise that the atmosphere began to shift.

Ephesians 5:20 (KJV) Giving thanks always for ALL things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

If we truly believe what Roman’s 8:28 says (And we know that ALL things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose) then we can believe that whatever our circumstance, God will work out the outcome and it will be good. It also made me realize that our attitude of praise cannot be experience based, it must be based on God’s Word and our unconditional love for Him.

So now, our worry turned into a warfare of praise! He's doing what? What happened to him?? Praise God!! It's all leading Him to Jesus and building an incredible testimony of His goodness! Before anything changed, we did! There was incredible peace that flooded our souls and nothing we heard or saw could steal it away! After years of praying the prayer of sadness, worry and fear... with no results... the warfare of praise touched His heart by the power of the Holy Spirit and within a few short months he was powerfully touched and changed!

He and his wife, Bethany, are incredible pastors in St. Louis. They both have a powerful testimony of the saving and transformative power of Jesus!

Change the atmosphere in your home and begin to worship God for the outcome before you see it! Don't stop taking authority over the enemy, but don't let that become your focus. Praise Him for the good and the bad, believing that it's all working out for their good! He's a good and faithful God! We just to have to believe and stop agreeing with the enemies lies!

As I'm writing this, I'm reminded that this applies to all areas of our lives! Praise your way out of every storm!

Luke 10:19 (KJV) Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

1 Peter 1:6-7 (NLB)  So be truly glad.[a] There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while. These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.

Hebrews 13:15 (KJV) By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.
