The Indescribable Love of God
My God is way too great for me to comprehend. His power and majesty are too magnificent! I was not given enough brain power to understand, but there's one thing I do know... I've tasted and experienced His love firsthand!
The love of the creator of the universe for His children is mind blowing, yet incredibly real. As I sit alone in my room, I feel the warmth of His presence as it envelops me. It takes my breath away! The purity and reality of such experiences brings me to tears and repentance, as it reveals the impurities within me. It's not His anger I feel or a demand for holiness, but a humble admittance of my depravity as it's brought into the contrast of His perfection. I'm amazed... really amazed that He would take the time to reveal this love in such unimaginable ways.
We read His Word and have a minute comprehension of it, but there's nothing like encountering the source. It's life changing! No matter what you've experienced in life, it has the ability to tenderize the hardest heart and once you've been touched by it you'll be amazed as it begins to flow to others through you.
Don't remain satisfied with religious rhetoric but begin the process of seeking a personal relationship with Jesus! He will make you complete, wash away your pain and fear, and satisfy your soul! His love has been there all the time. He's just waiting for you to draw close enough to experience its life changing power. Why am I sold out for Jesus? It's because He first loved me!
1 John 4:17-19 (NKJV) Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. We love Him because He first loved us. Isaiah 6:5 (KJV) Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts. Psalm 16:11 (NKJV) You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. Ephesians 3:14-19 (NLT) When I think of all this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Ephesians 3:17-19 (TPT) Then, by constantly using your faith, the life of Christ will be released deep inside you, and the resting place of his love will become the very source and root of your life. Then you will be empowered to discover what every holy one experiences—the great magnitude of the astonishing love of Christ in all its dimensions. How deeply intimate and far-reaching is his love! How enduring and inclusive it is! Endless love beyond measurement that transcends our understanding—this extravagant love pours into you until you are filled to overflowing with the fullness of God!
