Ephesians 3:20 (KJV) Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.
Last Resurrection Sunday We invited several friends over that didn't have family locally. We had about 18 people over and we wanted to invite so many more, but we just didn't have the space. I mentioned to God that He said He'd give us the desires of our heart and a bigger house was not the desire of my heart... He was... doing His will, seeking Him with fervor, enjoying His presence and blessing Him with my worship and adoration. I did mention that a larger house would be wonderful to be able to bless more people and I told Him I would just leave it there and not mention it again. It was all up to Him.
Two days later we passed a display home in a new section of our community, and we decided to stop. The moment we walked in we knew it was our home. It was exactly what I imagined when I had my conversation with God. At this point I thought it would take a miracle to afford it but was surprised to find out that the starting price was the exact number we ultimately sold ours for. Still, we wanted to make sure it was God's will. We both agreed that unless we could build one on a pond like we were currently on, we would pass... Yes, they had a lot available on a beautiful pond and instead of houses surrounding it, there would only be four built on one side with woods on the other.
We decided to test the waters and put our house on the market at a high price. It sold in 3 weeks. Now there was just one more thing we were asking for, we absolutely loved our neighbors and had told the Lord that we really wanted to take them with us, but if we couldn't at least have good ones we'd prefer to stay where we were.
When we first put the house on the market, they put the sign in our yard. Immediately my husband got a text from our neighbor across the street.
Neighbor: I see you're moving, so are we.
Rick: Where are you going?
Neighbor: Hammock Bay South
Hmmm... that's where we are going!
Rick: What community... again it's the same one...
Rick: What lot... ours is 70... Theirs? Lot 69!!! We've become so much closer going through the process of building our homes together! And the people we've met along the way, from the agents working in the display to the project managers have been such a blessing! We could see God's hand every step of the way!
I just want to encourage you to trust the Lord to do the unimaginable in your life! As long as your heart's desire is to keep Him first and do His will, He is more than happy to bless His children! Sometimes the answers don't come this quickly or dramatically, but you must believe He has your best interest in mind, and He cares about the details of your life!
So as of Friday, we moved into our new home right next door to our wonderful neighbors! Looking forward to seeing God's plan unfold right here on the pond. He's so wonderful!!
Trust Him, He's got you!
Ephesians 3:18 (NLT) And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is.
Psalm 139:1-4 (TPT) Lord, you know everything there is to know about me. You perceive every movement of my heart and soul, and you understand my every thought before it even enters my mind. You are so intimately aware of me, Lord. You read my heart like an open book and you know all the words I’m about to speak before I even start a sentence! You know every step I will take before my journey even begins.
Psalm 143:8 (KJV) Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee.
