Maneuvering Through the Trial

What are you going through? The enemy is working overtime, trying to steal our joy, break hearts, and instill fear. It's all smoke and mirrors. An attempt to hold our attention by distractions and diversions. What do you do in those moments when bad news comes and suddenly the ground beneath you seems unstable?

Our joy, peace, and reason to worship cannot be based on circumstances. Our faith in God must be fortified daily so that when painful situations arise...it remains intact and immovable. Let's face it, life will bring us plenty of opportunities to cower in fear. Thank God that we are hidden with Christ in God!!

What it comes down to is who will win your attention? What you focus upon will have access to your heart and it'll either be strengthened or weakened. It's really your choice. Focusing on the attack will give it power over the outcome just as focusing on Jesus, studying what His Word says about your situation, and worshipping Him in the midst of the trial will give Him control over your circumstances.

I've tested this more often than I care to admit. There have been trials that have devastated us and all we could pray for was the victory... to the point that Jesus was neglected, and our need became the center of our focus. The outcome was never pleasant until we finally realized that He deserved to be worshipped and praised no matter what we were going through. If all He had ever done for us was die on the cross for our sins, it would be enough to worship Him for eternity! Yet, He didn't stop there! He took the stripes upon His back for our healing and victory! His love... that alone is incomparable. He owes us nothing, yet He's continually orchestrating the details of our lives! Then there's His Word! His incredible love letter and instruction manual for living... the details written out so beautifully!

Yes, I'm preaching to myself tonight... but as I'm refocusing my attention from a negative situation to His beauty, power, love and grace...how can I not trust that He loves us and as we diligently seek first His Kingdom and righteousness...He will take care of our every need!! He's so faithful!!

Colossians 3:3 (AMPC) For [as far as this world is concerned] you have died, and your [new, real] life is hidden with Christ in God.

Matthew 6:33 (KJV) But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

1 Peter 5:7 (NLT) Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.

2 Thessalonians 3:3 (NKJV) But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.
