It's Worth the Price

Matthew 8:34 (KJV) And, behold, the whole city came out to meet Jesus: and when they saw him, they besought him that he would depart out of their coasts.
In Matthew chapter eight, Jesus and His disciples travel to the gentile inhabited region of Gergesenes, on the eastern shore of the Sea of Galilee. Though in the natural their lives were risked in their travels due to a great storm... He makes the trip with perfect peace and takes His authority as He rebukes the wind and waves and a great calm follows!
I'm sure He knew there were those who needed His healing power and authority over demonic Spirits. So, He crossed over to the other side to minister to those in need... He casts out the demons from two fierce men with just a word. Men that had probably tormented the people of that area. The Word says that no one could pass by that way. Jesus fearlessly casts the demons into a herd of swine who then thrusts themselves into the sea where they drown. Instead of the village praising Him for setting these men free, they asked Him to leave their coast! You see, that herd of swine was worth money to its owners and I'm sure others were concerned that the presence of Jesus would cost them as well. The money meant much more to them than the lives that were touched, changed, and set free!
There's a price to God's presence and to see others brought to salvation, healed, and delivered. For some the prize isn't worth the cost. We can't live life comfortably doing our own thing and expect to see life changing results. Sometimes ministry gets messy. Sometimes the sacrifices are painful and sometimes it requires death to live an abundant life, fully committed and surrendered to the Lord. If serving Jesus isn't costing you anything then perhaps it's time to reevaluate your relationship with Him.
Time must be sacrificed to seek and to serve Him. Some relationships must be eliminated and others cultivated. Death is required as more and more of our flesh is crucified and sin must be repented of as our weaknesses are exchanged for His holiness and strength.
Yes, the price is great but living in relationship with the Lover of our Soul and doing the will of the Father by the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit is incomparable! There's nothing greater than living right in the center of His will and fulfilling our purpose in His Kingdom!
Yes!! It’s so worth the price!!
Galatians 2:20 (KJV) I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Galatians 5:24 (KJV) And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
Matthew 16:25 (KJV) For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
