Fall into the Arms of Love

When I was introduced to my husband, I had heard a lot of great things about him, but I didn't know him personally. As we started dating, I began to uncover more and more of his wonderful qualities, but I still didn't really know or understand him. I regret to say that for many years, we held back parts of our hearts. We didn't completely trust each other with our fragile egos. After some time together the trust grew, and we began surrendering more and more of ourselves to each other. Marriage can become one of the greatest gifts of God when we begin to trust that we are precious, valued, cherished, and loved by our spouse. Nothing held back or hidden. 

So too, without a realization of the love of God it's easy to flounder in our faith. Why would we feel committed to one that we don't really know or completely trust. Maybe your insecurities, guilt and fear of rejection keeps you from surrendering it all. There are many who have started the relationship process with Jesus but there's no passion or understanding of the depths of His love. Sure, it's something they've heard about, but it's never been studied or experienced, so faith remains foreign and distant. 

Jesus is not a man that picks at our wounds and mocks our flaws. He is our Savior, Bride Groom, and Lover of our soul. He is very aware of our imperfections and gave His life to wash us in His precious blood. When God looks at us all He sees is the sacrifice that was given for our forgiveness as we come to Him in repentance. The price was paid so that a relationship with YOU would be possible. That's how much He loves you and desires that you come close...close enough to realize just how much you mean to Him and how precious you are. Trust Him enough to draw closer and as you do, He will reveal the depths of His infinite love. Surrendering your life will become your heart's desire and time with Him your passion. 

Faith? It will no longer be something you need to search or hope for but a natural result of your time getting to know Him through your intimate relationship and studying the hidden treasures of His Word! Even in the midst of various trials and disappointments you will have total peace in the knowledge that you are the apple of His eye, and He desires the best for you! When you get a glimpse of the magnitude of this love there's nothing you wouldn't do for Him, and you'll believe there's nothing He wouldn't do for you! Pour yourself out, let go of your inhibitions and fall into the arms of LOVE!

And I ask Him that with both feet planted firmly on love, you’ll be able to take in with all followers of Jesus the extravagant dimensions of Christ’s love. Reach out and experience the breadth! Test its length! Plumb the depths! Rise to the heights! Live full lives, full in the fullness of God.
