Are You Ready?

A couple of days ago, On October 7th, Palestinian militant groups led by Hamas launched a large-scale attack upon Israel. As around 120 from my church stepped foot onto the Holy Land, war was declared. Before I go any further, please keep our Pastors and church family in your prayers. They are still there. We do not believe that this was a coincidence, but we fully believe that God has a plan, and they are being used in its fulfillment!

As people are shaken in such a horrendous way, hearts become open to the Gospel as they hunger for answers and truth! We pray for protection and peace for the people of Israel, freedom for the hostages, comfort for those who lost loved ones, healing for the wounded, and that their hearts will open to receive their long-awaited messiah, Yeshua!

We are living in prophetic, Biblical times! The purpose of these devotions has always been to get you ready for what's ahead. If we are not living in Psalms 91, hidden deep in the Secret Place... dwelling in the presence of God, we will not have the strength to endure, much less flourish in the days ahead. For some these are fearful days but for those who know who they are in Jesus, believe in His promises and know how to abide in the Secret Place, there's peace and expectancy... You see, He already told us through His Word that in the last days there would be a shaking. It will take one in our country for eyes to be open and hard hearts to turn to God! In the midst of it, God's people will remain secure if they've already formed a habit of worshiping and staying focused on the Lord amid every storm... we've been given plenty of opportunities to practice over the past few years. I often use Stephen as an example. Though he was attacked and stoned He looked intently upon Jesus and His peace remained intact!

Even as the shaking comes so will the promise of God pouring out His Spirit upon all flesh! All will be given the opportunity to repent and turn to Jesus! Whether or not they heed the call is up to them. As dread and fear begins to devastate there is a way of escape that can only be found through the cross! It leads to His loving arms of strength, forgiveness, and protection!

Get ready! Be diligent in reading God's Word, seeking His heart and doing His will! Share the Gospel every chance you get! And yes! Pray for peace in Jerusalem!

Psalm 122:6 (NKJV) Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: “May they prosper who love you."

Hebrews 12:26-29 (NKJ) Whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying, “Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven.” Now this, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. For our God is a consuming fire.

2 Thessalonians 2:1-3 (NLT) Now, dear brothers and sisters, let us clarify some things about the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and how we will be gathered to meet him. Don’t be so easily shaken or alarmed by those who say that the day of the Lord has already begun. Don’t believe them, even if they claim to have had a spiritual vision, a revelation, or a letter supposedly from us. Don’t be fooled by what they say. For that day will not come until there is a great rebellion against God and the man of lawlessness is revealed—the one who brings destruction.

(We are seeing this rebellion even in churches who once taught the truth of God's Word. They have embraced the lies of the enemy and our teaching them from the pulpits, leading their congregations into deception)

Acts 2:17 (KJV) And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

Acts 7:54-60 (KJV) When they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed on him with their teeth. But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God, And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God. Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord, And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man's feet, whose name was Saul. And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit. And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.

Read Psalms 91, that's where your protection is!
