A Reason to Worship

In my time in the Secret Place tonight, I'm enjoying worshipping God.... I'm amazed at His love for me. I begin by thanking Him for creating me. Have you ever done that? Have you ever seriously thought about how much the God of the the universe thought of and desired you? Against all odds you were perfectly formed in your mother's womb. That alone is mind-blowing to me. Think about your unique personality, mannerisms and the way you look. You're a custom made, unique design created by a master artist. Regardless of how you were conceived or what you were told... you were wanted and God thought YOU were a good idea!

As if being created was not enough... well actually without Christ it would not have been enough. To be born and live life void of a relationship with Him and destined for hell...it would be better to never have been born, but that's not the case for us! We were called and separated unto Christ! Set free from the enemy's grip and given the opportunity to build an intimate relationship with the King of kings and the Lord of lords!! Do you not realize how this gives us purpose and a reason to give Him our highest praise?!

Now, let's talk about the price that was paid through Christ's stripes and spilled blood!! Our guilt and condemnation destroyed as our sins were washed away, severing the enemy's control of our lives,  hearts and minds! Every sickness and disease placed upon Christ as they tore His flesh. The opportunities for His children are limitless! He gave us power and authority by the name that is above every name! He gives us the chance to be filled with His precious Holy Spirit and His gifts, anointing, and power flows through us to touch and change the world! We are not limited by our own weaknesses, human frailty or inability...we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us!!

What about His love?? Have you been thankful for that lately? It's immeasurable, undeserved, passionate, captivating, healing, and life changing! It's what sets everything in motion, all of creation, the crucifixion and the tender care of the details of our lives. The way He speaks to us and directs our steps. It's simply incredible... do you have anything to thank Him for?

The list goes on and on and on... and I haven't even touched on the tangible. The work of the cross, the price that was paid and the gift of the Spirit is enough to make me want to weep and shout! I could spend hours just sharing my love and gratitude with Him. Then there's all of the things He's done for me while I'm passing through this earth. To share them all would fill volumes of books. It's too much for this devotion to hold.

If you come into His presence and feel that you have nothing to say, you haven't dug deep enough. Begin to consider His goodness towards you. Are you thankful for another day to be alive or the air that you're breathing?

What I ask of you today is to begin to look deeply into the eyes of Jesus and share your love and appreciation with Him... in this moment, forget about your needs and desires. Forget about the disappointments and all of the questions, and seriously consider all of the wonderful things He's done just for YOU!

Give Him your highest praise! I praise, worship and love you so much Jesus! THANK YOU!!!

Psalm 100:1-5 (TPT) Lift up a great shout of joy to the Lord! Go ahead and do it—everyone, everywhere! As you serve Him, be glad and worship Him. Sing your way into His presence with joy! And realize what this really means—we have the privilege of worshiping the Lord our God. For He is our Creator and we belong to Him. We are the people of His pleasure. You can pass through His open gates with the password of praise. Come right into His presence with thanksgiving. Come bring your thank offering to Him and affectionately bless His beautiful name! For the Lord is always good and ready to receive you. He’s so loving that it will amaze you—so kind that it will astound you! And He is famous for His faithfulness toward all. Everyone knows our God can be trusted, for He keeps His promises to every generation!

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (TPT) Let joy be your continual feast. Make your life a prayer. And in the midst of everything be always giving thanks, for this is God’s perfect plan for you in Christ Jesus.

Psalm 9:1-3 (TPT) Lord, I will worship you with extended hands as my whole heart explodes with praise! I will tell everyone everywhere about your wonderful works and how your marvelous miracles exceed expectations! I will jump for joy and shout in triumph as I sing your song and make music for the Most High God.

Philippians 4:13 (NKJV) I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
