A Conduit of His Love
As we hear all of the craziness going on in the world, it's easy to become focused on evil intents instead of God's original plan for our lives. Let's take a moment away from the news and the gossip and hype of social media and just focus in on the Lord and His intent for our lives.
When Jesus separated us unto Himself, forgave our sins and saved our souls through His shed blood, He had a very important mandate for our lives. He called us, through our relationship with Himself to become conduits of His mercy and love. It was His love for us that hung Him on a cross and His love that took His life. As it was undeservingly poured out to us, it's expected to be shared through us.
Do you know that when God sees the foolishness of man, even the lies and deception, His first thought is not to destroy them or even punish. His desire is to call them unto Himself and set them free from the destructive forces of the enemy. He LOVES the lost and broken! Thank God for that! Otherwise, each of us would have had no hope of salvation and destined for hell. So, why is it that as we look at the depravity of the hearts of others, we think negatively against them? I'm not judging, I'm actually examining my own heart. As it's tested in so many areas, I'm asking God to replace my limited understanding and ability to love with His immeasurable, perfect and unmerited agape love which is undeserved and unconditional!
The greatest way the lost can experience the love of God is through His people... don't contaminate or block the flow. It was never meant to stop with us. There's a world out there that needs to see it, feel it, hear it and experience it. They are searching for it in all the wrong places. Open your eyes, look past your own family and home and begin to share it every chance you get. Yeah... even to those who didn't vote the way you did...OUCH!
As you ask God to love through you and you begin to see the lost as souls Jesus died for, your judgment and criticism will be replaced with mercy and love. Let's actively pursue revealing the nature and character of God to the world around us! HE IS LOVE!
Matthew 5:43-48 (TPT) “Your ancestors have also been taught ‘Love your neighbors and hate the one who hates you.’ However, I say to you, love your enemy, bless the one who curses you, do something wonderful for the one who hates you, and respond to the very ones who persecute you by praying for them. For that will reveal your identity as children of your heavenly Father. He is kind to all by bringing the sunrise to warm and rainfall to refresh whether a person does what is good or evil. What reward do you deserve if you only love the loveable? Don’t even the tax collectors do that? How are you any different from others if you limit your kindness only to your friends? Don’t even the ungodly do that? Since you are children of a perfect Father in heaven, you are to be perfect like Him.”
Romans 13:8-10 (NLT) Owe nothing to anyone—except for your obligation to love one another. If you love your neighbor, you will fulfill the requirements of God’s law. For the commandments say, “You must not commit adultery. You must not murder. You must not steal. You must not covet.”These—and other such commandments—are summed up in this one commandment: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no wrong to others, so love fulfills the requirements of God’s law.
1 John 4:7-8 (TPT) Those who are loved by God, let his love continually pour from you to one another, because God is love. Everyone who loves is fathered by God and experiences an intimate knowledge of Him. The one who doesn’t love has yet to know God, for God is love.
John 15:12-13 (TPT) “So this is my command: Love each other deeply, as much as I have loved you. For the greatest love of all is a love that sacrifices all. And this great love is demonstrated when a person sacrifices his life for His friends.
