Don't Give Up On Your Destiny!
Are you frustrated because you know you should be doing more for the kingdom of God, but have no idea what that is? Maybe the frustration comes from knowing exactly what your called to do, but it's just not happening and you feel like you're in limbo while you're waiting. Don't ever doubt that God has a specific purpose for your life and He will accomplish it through you, when He feels you're ready. It won't look like anyone else's calling. Chances are it will seem way too big and the fit may feel a little uncomfortable, but that's okay. He has purposely designed it to be too big for you so that you'll put your trust in Him and not your own abilities.
He is taking this time to stir a hunger within you to serve and desperately seek Him. Your limited resources, talents and skills won't get you there. You were right! It's way too big for you! Understanding that, is a sign of humility, but get ready! The temptation to be fearful and back off will try to creep in and steal your destiny. Stay focused on Jesus and spend this time preparing for what He's calling you to. Get to know Him, study His Word, get close enough to hear His voice and keep moving forward. Listen for the marching orders. They may be small baby steps of obedience at first, there will be tests along the way and trials that will give you options. Will you keep moving forward in complete trust and obedience or will you retreat in fear... remaining in your comfort zone?
Yes, there's twists, turns and bumps in the road. The only way to make it to your destiny is by keeping your eyes on the object of your desire (JESUS) and drawing strength and peace from His presence, love and comfort. Bottom line... you'll win if you don't give up and continue to press forward regardless of the diversions or opposition. Set your eyes on the prize! Commit to perseverance and faith in God's ultimate plan and you will see it unfold in your life.
James 1:2-4,12 (NIV) Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love Him.
Philippians 2:12-14 Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
