Finding Your Voice in the Trials
There are many different voices in the Body of Christ. We all have a different message that was developed through our own experiences. It takes all of us to make an accurate resemblance of who Christ is. That's why we should never compare our calling or ministry to anyone else's.
For me, the cry of my heart is intimacy with Jesus. This was developed through years of being hidden in the Secret Place of His Presence. As an intercessor, my private prayer time, sharing my heart with Him, feeling Him near me and hearing His voice, has been my life for over 40 years, so it's natural for me to want to pull everyone into my relationship with Christ. It's out of isolation that my particular ministry was birthed.
Our experiences mold us into who we are and that's what oozes out of us. It was rejection that chased me into the arms of Jesus and introduced me to a side of Him I never knew as He became my Bride Groom and the Lover of my soul. During financial hardship I learned about the Covenant relationship of the tithe and realized He was my Provider. It was through sickness that I met my Healer and in brokenness I was made whole.
There are so many sides to our God that we can only experience through trials, but each time you get to the other side and realize His love and protection in a new way, you'll say IT WAS ALL WORTH IT!! It WAS all worth it! Every rediculous, painful experience revealed to me His infinite power and incredible beauty and love. With each trial He exposed another side of myself that needed to be fortified and another side of Himself through His comfort and deliverance. When there was no possible solution to the circumstances, He turned impossible situations around and brought peace in the midst of utter despair.
Don't cower in the face of adversity, but use the opportunity to see the side of Christ He's desiring to reveal to you and allow Him to mold you into the person He desires you to be. Develop your voice in this season as you testify of His goodness through your particular experiences.
Psalm 96:2-4 (TPT) Don’t stop! Keep on singing! Make His name famous! Tell everyone every day how wonderful He is. Give them the good news of our great Savior. Take the message of His glory and miracles to every nation. Tell them about all the amazing things He has done. For the Lord’s greatness is beyond description and He deserves all the praise that comes to Him. He is our King-God and it’s right to be in holy awe of Him.
Psalm 22:22-24 (MSG) Here’s the story I’ll tell my friends when they come to worship, and punctuate it with Hallelujahs. Shout Hallelujah, you God-worshipers; give glory, you sons of Jacob; adore Him, you daughters of Israel. He has never let you down, never looked the other way when you were being kicked around. He has never wandered off to do His own thing; He has been right there, listening.
Psalm 66:16 (NKJV) Come and hear, all you who fear God, And I will declare what He has done for my soul.
Psalm 71:15-1, 20-21 & 23 (TPT) I couldn’t begin to count the times you’ve been there for me. With the skill of a poet I’ll never run out of things to say of how you faithfully kept me from danger. I will come forth in your mighty strength, O my Lord God. I’ll tell everyone that you alone are the perfect one. From my childhood you’ve been my teacher, and I’m still telling everyone of your miracle-wonders! Even though you’ve let us sink down with trials and troubles, I know you will revive us again, lifting us up from the dust of death.Give us even more greatness than before. Turn and comfort us once again. I will shout and sing your praises for all you are to my Savior, lover of my soul!
