Kindle the Fire
I have been captivated with God's love lately. Though I know there's so many other things to write about, it's simply what I'm focused on right now. The closer we get to Jesus, the more we desire Him and realize the magnitude of the price He paid.
There's never a moment in our lives that we can say we were worthy of His shed blood. I'm finding this hard to write with tear-filled eyes. When you get a realization of it...it becomes overwhelming. Think about the lengths He went through to set you free and enjoy a relationship with you!
We all have our story. For me, He brought my parents to the United States from France. He then sent a little Christian woman into my mother's business to minister to her by the name of Mrs. Lucy. She withstood insults from my mother who refused to hear about Christ. Fortunately, she never gave up. She would fast with no food for a month at a time and interceded for our family until my mother cried out to Jesus in her room. That Sunday my family went to the local church and one by one, we went forward to give our hearts and lives to the Lord. We were all surprised to find out... it was Mrs. Lucy's church!
A few days later He sent a Spirit-filled French woman to apply for a job at my mother's pizza parlor. She was a powerful woman of God, who taught us the Bible in our native language for several months, then disappeared without a trace.
As if that wasn't enough... His involvement in the daily details of our lives is mind blowing to me...His presence... He's just so beautiful and captivating...
My entire heart for writing these messages is to see the Bride of Christ enter into an intimate relationship with Jesus. Praying for your needs and others is important. Reading your Bible is crucial, but taking time out of each day to sit in His presence, ponder His goodness and simply love on Him...to worship Him with your entire heart as you shed tears of repentance and appreciation... that takes your relationship to a completely different level! It tenderizes your heart, humbles you and makes you pliable in His hands, but most importantly... there's nothing like blessing Him instead of waiting for Him to bless us.
Jesus is utterly wonderful, beautiful, powerful, merciful, loving and amazing! Come up higher, make every effort to get to know Him. The more of Him you uncover, the more you'll desire.
Ephesians 3:16-19 (TPT) And I pray that He would unveil within you the unlimited riches of His glory and favor until supernatural strength floods your innermost being with His divine might and explosive power. Then, by constantly using your faith, the life of Christ will be released deep inside you, and the resting place of His love will become the very source and root of your life. Then you will be empowered to discover what every holy one experiences—the great magnitude of the astonishing love of Christ in all its dimensions. How deeply intimate and far-reaching is His love! How enduring and inclusive it is! Endless love beyond measurement that transcends our understanding—this extravagant love pours into you until you are filled to overflowing with the fullness of God!
Psalm 42:1-2 &7-8 (TPT) I long to drink of you, O God, drinking deeply from the streams of pleasure flowing from your presence. My longings overwhelm me for more of you! My soul thirsts, pants, and longs for the living God. I want to come and see the face of God. My deep need calls out to the deep kindness of your love. Your waterfall of weeping sent waves of sorrow over my soul, carrying me away, cascading over me like a thundering cataract. Yet all day long God’s promises of love pour over me. Through the night I sing His songs, for my prayer to God has become my life.
