Doubt & Unbelief

2 Timothy 1:7 (AMP) For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control].

Fear is a spirit that is caused by doubt and unbelief. Fear does not come from the Lord. When we allow doubt to creep in, we are undermining the power of God and forgetting how much love He has for us. It's like getting spiritual amnesia - forgetting about the goodness of God and only hearing and believing the lies of the enemy. Thoughts of "this is never going to work, you cannot do this, nobody is going to listen to you," are all from the enemy. Buying into these lies is detrimental to your spiritual growth and walk with Christ. When we feel defeated and stay in a slump, we cannot remain effective when ministering to others.

I know every day is not full of rainbows and gumdrops but when the enemy comes with loud accusations we must know the next step is to rise up and speak the Truth and promises of God over ourselves and cast down those thoughts of negativity back to the pit of hell. God is for you! Who can be against you!? We have the power and authority given to us by Jesus - the church must rise to the occasion and USE the power and authority over the enemy of our souls!

Psalm 34:4 (AMP) I sought the Lord [on the authority of His word], and He answered me, and delivered me from all my fears.

Joshua 1:8 (AMP) This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall read [and meditate on] it day and night, so that you may be careful to do [everything] in accordance with all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will be successful.
