Just One Touch

There’s nothing like a touch of the Holy Spirit. Once you've experienced it nothing else compares and nothing is worth losing it! My life was radically changed when I experienced His touch in a revival meeting in the 90's. My backslidden son, lost and away from God, experienced one touch, surrendered His life and is now a pastor.

One touch will cause the shy and meek to be as bold as a lion, the worst sinner to turn to Christ and desire holiness and purity. It will cause the hard heart to be gentle and loving. It makes the weak strong, it qualifies the unqualified and energizes the worn and tired. He heals the sick as well as a wounded and broken heart, restores the sound mind of those who are confused, brings peace to the anxious, gives purpose and validation to those who have been rejected and feel insignificant.

The touch of the Holy Spirit lifts the head of the down cast and gives directions to the lost. It comforts the hurting, brings peace in the midst of the storm, fills the hungry and quenches the thirst of those who are dry and parched. It restores the faith and hope of the hopeless and brings joy to the downtrodden.

We need revival fire to fall in order for those who have never experienced the touch of the Spirit to feel God’s gentle embrace as His powerful arms pull them close and draw them near His heart. Seek Him, repent, draw closer, humble yourself and ask Him to touch you in such a way that you have never experienced before. He’s waiting and He desires to touch you so that you will be planted firmly in the Word, be stirred up in such a way that you will begin to passionately pursue Him and spread the fire to others! It only takes one touch!!!

Joel 2:28 (KJV) "And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions"

Acts 1:8 (KJV) "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."

John 14:16-18 (KJV) "And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you forever; even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth Him not, neither knoweth Him: but ye know Him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you."

John 14:26 (KJV) "But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you."

John 16:7-11 (ESV) "Nevertheless, I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you. But if I go, I will send Him to you. And when He comes, He will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment: concerning sin, because they do not believe in me; concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father, and you will see me no longer; concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged."

Romans 8:9-11 (NIV) "You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ. But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness. And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you."
