You Have What They Need
My prayer tonight is to become more sensitive to the promptings of the Holy Spirit. We can become so focused on our daily routine and the tasks at hand that we miss opportunities to be ministers of the gospel and share the love of God. There are desperate people all around us who are searching for answers. Many are on the brink of despair, ready to end it all. A simple word of kindness and encouragement can be the catalyst the Lord uses to save a life and most importantly a soul!
People need a listening ear and if you'll pay attention, you'll hear the hopelessness in their words. Perfect strangers may begin to share personal information with you, and you'll wonder why. The Spirit is drawing them to the ones that have the answers. You have the key to eternal life and the missing piece that they have desperately been seeking.
If you have Jesus in your heart, be prepared to share the good news of the gospel. Begin to listen as hearts open around you, then share the remedy for their woes. Life without Jesus is dark, hopeless, and grim. Let your light shine into the crevices of their souls and bring the hope they need. It's not about memorizing a formula for ministry, but simply sharing your testimony and expressing how the blood of Jesus washed away your sins, purchased eternal life and healed your wounds. Let the world know that a personal relationship with their Savior is possible and attainable. They've been waiting and searching for the truth that is within you. It's time to share it!
2 Timothy 4:2 (NKJV) Preach the Word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.
Psalm 105:1 (NKJV) Oh, give thanks to the Lord! Call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the peoples!
Proverbs 11:30 (NIV) The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life and the one who is wise saves lives.
Isaiah 6:8 (NKJV) Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.”
