Trust + Worship!

A few nights ago I had a dream. I was standing outside of a church with an old friend, when all of a sudden we saw a few rows of smoke shoot through the sky above us. I mentioned that the Bible spoke about wonders in the sky and I did wonder what that was! Then suddenly we looked forward and over the trees we could see this huge dark cloud of smoke rapidly rolling toward us, destroying everything in its path. We ran into the church building and I began to shout warnings of the coming destruction to the people, but most ignored me. I was able to get everyone congregated into one room and we shut all the doors around us. They were still very nonchalant about my sense of urgency, until they felt the cloud hit the building with a jolt! Everything went dark and all we could see was this black smoke filling the room through the cracks around the door and the key hole. At that point terror hit the people! I shouted out, “Don’t be frightened! Just focus on Jesus and worship Him!” The worship leader yelled out, “Don’t listen to her! We don’t have much air and worship will just use it up too quickly!” I yelled back, ”You are thinking in the natural and not by the Spirit! The Spirit is calling us to worship and we WILL BE SAVED!” There were a few that heeded the call and surrendered to uninhibited and undisturbed, passionate worship but the others…the ones that didn’t obey what He was saying and chose to follow natural logic, began to drop dead from asphyxiation. The ones that worshipped didn’t even notice the chaos around them. I then woke up…

I can’t get this dream out of my mind. The realism of such atrocity is sobering but the realization of the power and presence of God that is always present, even in the most difficult situations and darkest moments is glorious! Yes, this was a dream but the reality is, no matter what the enemy throws at us, we can overcome if we’ll not be moved! Our strength, stability, peace and victory directly correlates to what we are focused on! If it’s the lies of the enemy or even the reality of the natural situation…we will begin to waver, become fearful and ultimately surrender to the negative outcome. On the other hand, if we are blind sided with a painful scenario and use that attack to chase us into the arms of Jesus and focus intently on His eyes of love…then offer Him our heartfelt worship, even as the storm is raging all around us…we’ll be surrounded by His peace, even while we wait for His deliverance to be manifested! You can’t lose trusting and worshiping God! Worry will only pull you away from Him and manifest pain and suffering. There’s such life in abiding in Him and trusting against all natural logic.

There’s healing, deliverance, restoration, answered prayers, protection and glorious blessings waiting for you on the other side of your total surrender and passionate worship and praise!! Focus on Jesus, no matter what we face in this life, He’s got the answers and everything you need comes when you’re wrapped in His arms! Don’t be moved by what you hear, feel or even what’s happening in the world around us…TRUST AND WORSHIP!

Psalm 33:18 (TPT) The eyes of the Lord are upon even the weakest worshipers who love him—those who wait in hope and expectation for the strong, steady love of God.

Proverbs 3:5-8 (TPT) Trust in the Lord completely, and do not rely on your own opinions. With all your heart rely on him to guide you, and he will lead you in every decision you make. Become intimate with him in whatever you do, and he will lead you wherever you go. Don’t think for a moment that you know it all, for wisdom comes when you adore him with undivided devotion and avoid everything that’s wrong. Then you will find the healing refreshment your body and spirit long for.

Acts 2:19-21 (NLT) And I will cause wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below—blood and fire and clouds of smoke. The sun will become dark, and the moon will turn blood red before that great and glorious day of the Lord arrives. But everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’

Acts 16:24-26 (TPT) So the jailer placed them in the innermost cell of the prison and had their feet bound and chained. Paul and Silas, undaunted, prayed in the middle of the night and sang songs of praise to God, while all the other prisoners listened to their worship. Suddenly, a great earthquake shook the foundations of the prison. All at once every prison door flung open and the chains of all the prisoners came loose.
