It's Not Over! (Keeping it Real)

I’m having one of those moments when I’m exhausted, disappointed, completely distraught and broken... I can’t really explain to you what’s going on... you know what they say... to protect the innocent ...there are some things I can’t make too public because it involves others and it’s not my intent to hurt anyone. I haven’t experienced this in a long time. I so trust God in every situation, bad or otherwise, that I’m not usually moved, but tonight, my human side is really showing. I know you’ve all been there and it’s actually good for me to be reminded of how that feels. It’s that moment when you wonder what God is up to and why it feels the way it does. Yes... even ... as the tears have flowed and my heart breaks...I know without a shadow of a doubt that God loves me and He is very much in control. I’ve asked Him to direct my path and keep me in the center of His will and though the current situation doesn’t feel much like a place God would have led me to, I know He’s here with me and there’s a bigger picture than my limited view point will reveal.

Whatever you’re going through at this moment, this a reminder that we are not alone. As we take time to remove our eyes from the pain and reset them on Jesus... His comfort heals every wound and removes every doubt. There’s nothing too difficult to overcome as long as it’s done with Jesus! There’s peace available, even in the darkest night. Don’t stay in the moment, reliving the trial and wallowing in the pain and disappointment. Pull out your Bible and study about the amazing love of God. When you do, you’ll realize He would never let you down or put you in a situation that you can’t get out of. Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were not delivered from the trial of the fiery furnace, but God was with them right in the midst of it and they came out unharmed and not even smelling of smoke! What a testimony they had and so will we if we continue to trust Jesus and draw our strength from Him!! Our God is amazing! Trust Him! It’s not over!

Romans 5:3-5 (TPT) But that’s not all! Even in times of trouble we have a joyful confidence, knowing that our pressures will develop in us patient endurance. And patient endurance will refine our character, and proven character leads us back to hope. And this hope is not a disappointing fantasy, because we can now experience the endless love of God cascading into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who lives in us!

2 Corinthians 4:16-18 (NLT) Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Daniel 3:24-27 (NLT) But suddenly, Nebuchadnezzar jumped up in amazement and exclaimed to his advisers, “Didn’t we tie up three men and throw them into the furnace?” “Yes, Your Majesty, we certainly did,” they replied. “Look!” Nebuchadnezzar shouted. “I see four men, unbound, walking around in the fire unharmed! And the fourth looks like a god!” Then Nebuchadnezzar came as close as he could to the door of the flaming furnace and shouted: “Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, servants of the Most High God, come out! Come here!” So Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego stepped out of the fire. Then the high officers, officials, governors, and advisers crowded around them and saw that the fire had not touched them. Not a hair on their heads was singed, and their clothing was not scorched. They didn’t even smell of smoke!
