Is Your Faith Big Enough?

As I listened to a man share his testimony at the jewelry store today, I was reminder that I haven't been believing big enough. He shared how God gave him wisdom and led him to purchase property when it was at its lowest and sell when it was high. God gave him many other business ideas and his wealth has increased dramatically, simply by asking, trusting, listening and obeying God.

We've been so disillusioned by a faith Gospel of name it and claim it. It became sickening to see Christians turn their attention, focus and passion from Christ to mammon. On the other hand, the enemy made us believe that poverty was more holy than wealth. Of course, we know that the love of money is sin and it's difficult for many of the wealthy to realize their need for God, but that doesn't mean having tangible blessings or wanting to improve our financial situation is wrong. If the enemy can keep the Body of Christ in need or just satisfied with their own needs being met, they will never have the funds to advance the Kingdom of God and make a true impact on the world.

Years ago, when I was preparing a tithe and offering message, the Lord showed me that Christians pride themselves in saying that they only want enough to meet their needs. What they feel is humility is actually selfishness. We shouldn't just pray for our needs to be met, but for such an outpouring of abundant blessing that there's enough overflowing to be a blessing to both the lost and the Church. It's time to begin to believe for a financial shift to the Body of Christ that puts us in the driver seat in this world. The lost should look to the church for their needs to be met so that they realize just how much they are loved. We should be providing for the widows and orphans, building churches and wells to draw people to them in third world countries. We should have the money to provide to build our own churches so that our pastors don't have to get into dept. We should open our own financial institutions and no longer have our finances controlled by an evil and manipulative government system. We should be the decision makers and not just followers and certainly should not be controlled by the economy! We are not of this world!

So, as things get darker around us and threats of, "Do what we say or you don't work or eat", are beginning to crop up, let's believe and trust God more than we ever have before! Let's believe for enough to feed those that are hungry, clothe the poor and give housing to homeless families who have come on hard times. Stop believing for just you and yours, but look way beyond your own need into the eyes of the hurting! Yes, I believe blessings come in many other forms! Primarily the Presence and love of God... His comfort, peace and love are the greatest blessings of my life, but let's also believe for the tangible, then share the power of our testimony as we are used to bless those around us, out of the abundance that's been given to us!

God doesn't have a problem with you being financially blessed as long you remain a blessing, stay humble, give Him the glory and always keep Him first! Ask Him for the ability and wisdom to produce wealth... Is your faith big enough!?

Deuteronomy 8:17-18 (MSG) If you start thinking to yourselves, “I did all this. And all by myself. I’m rich. It’s all mine!”—well, think again. Remember that God, your God, gave you the strength to produce all this wealth so as to confirm the covenant that he promised to your ancestors—as it is today.

Luke 6:38 (TPT) Give generously and generous gifts will be given back to you, shaken down to make room for more. Abundant gifts will pour out upon you with such an overflowing measure that it will run over the top! The measurement of your generosity becomes the measurement of your return.

Deuteronomy 28 (NLT) “If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully keep all his commands that I am giving you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the world.You will experience all these blessings if you obey the Lord your God:Your towns and your fields will be blessed. Your children and your crops will be blessed. The offspring of your herds and flocks will be blessed.Your fruit baskets and breadboardswill be blessed. Wherever you go and whatever you do, you will be blessed.“ The Lord will conquer your enemies when they attack you. They will attack you from one direction, but they will scatter from you in seven! “The lord will guarantee a blessing on everything you do and will fill your storehouses with grain. The Lord your God will bless you in the land he is giving you. “If you obey the commands of the Lord your God and walk in his ways, the Lord will establish you as his holy people as he swore he would do. Then all the nations of the world will see that you are a people claimed by the Lord, and they will stand in awe of you. “The Lord will give you prosperity in the land he swore to your ancestors to give you, blessing you with many children, numerous livestock, and abundant crops. The Lord will send rain at the proper time from his rich treasury in the heavens and will bless all the work you do. You will lend to many nations, but you will never need to borrow from them. If you listen to these commands of the Lord your God that I am giving you today, and if you carefully obey them, the Lord will make you the head and not the tail, and you will always be on top and never at the bottom. You must not turn away from any of the commands I am giving today, nor follow after other gods and worship them.
