For Such a Time As This!
Where are you spiritually? What is your heart’s greatest desire? What is the first thing you think about when you wake up, throughout your day and before you lay your head down?
There’s so much in this life that fights for our attention. Covid, war, mandates, the price of food, the current condition of our government and our nation and heart wrenching injustices at every turn. It isn’t hard to understand why so many turn to drugs, prescriptions and alcohol to numb their nerves.
Turmoil in our world isn’t necessarily all evil. There’s times that the Lord allows the people to become so unsettled that a desperation is stirred in our souls. It’s a holy desperation, one that can’t be satisfied by carnal desires. There is only one absolute source to total peace and that’s JESUS!
Perhaps you’re a Christian that spends daily time in the Word and prayer, yet you too are experiencing anxiety by the current world affairs. You can do everything you’ve always done yet no longer get the same results when the heat is turned up. As the fire is getting hotter, so too should your passion for Jesus! If you want to destroy your fears, step up your time in His presence…increase your time studying your Bible, prayer and worshipping Him! It will remove your eyes from the negativity that surrounds you and saturate you with peace that passes all understanding! It can’t be explained! It doesn’t make sense with what’s being dished out…but…it’s very real and tangible!
Jesus is calling each of us to a deeper commitment, hunger and passion. The Holy Spirit is leading us to a place where we can be hidden in Him and unaffected by this world’s events! I often mention Stephen, who even as he was being martyred for Christ, his focus remained steadfast on Jesus and he was unmoved by his circumstances!
That’s the place…the Secret Place that’s impenetrable by the enemy! As the world is getting darker we must draw closer to Him than we’ve ever been, so that His light will shine brighter than it’s ever shined in and through us!
There’s a world that needs Jesus, we don’t have time for distractions. We must intercede for souls and for the will of God to be done on earth! We must remain filled up and empowered to fearlessly accomplish all that He’s calling us to do in these end times! His power, mercy and love must be revealed through us! We were chosen to live in Biblically Prophetic days and we were born “For such a time as this!”
Esther 4:14 (NKJV) For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”
Philippians 4:6-7 (KJV) Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Acts 7:54-55 (TPT) When they heard these things, they were overtaken with violent rage filling their souls, and they gnashed their teeth at him. But Stephen, overtaken with great faith, was full of the Holy Spirit. He fixed his gaze into the heavenly realm and saw the glory and splendor of God—and Jesus, who stood up at the right hand of God.
Psalms 91:1-10 (NKJV) He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.” Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler And from the perilous pestilence. He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day, Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you. Only with your eyes shall you look, And see the reward of the wicked. Because you have made the LORD, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place, No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling.
