Don't Give Up! Part 2
I think I need to be a little more clear about my reason for writing the previous devotion. Many of you have shown a great deal of concern for me and while it's very much appreciated, it's certainly not necessary. I was trying to share on the steps that must be taken to restore hope and peace in the midst of the storm, but somehow it must not have come across that way. For the record, I consider myself to be extremely blessed!
Though the enemy is fighting to destroy my energy, inflict pain to my body and cause confusion in our future, he is NOT succeeding in any way shape or form! Even as the attacks are reeling, we have complete peace and we are incredibly excited about what the future holds. Yes, change is contrary to my nature, but praise God, I'm not ruled by my flesh! Our lives are in His hands and we have no doubt that He has orchestrated each step. Yes, there was a day that this would have been more than I could have handled, but not today! You see, when you experience the presence of God on a regular basis, the attacks no longer dictate your feelings and they certainly don't have a bearing on your future. It's our reaction to the trial that matters most. Do we wallow in self pity or do we stay focused on the promises of God and His love for us? Then worship our way out of the storm!
When you ABIDE in His presence...not just visit on occasion or when a need arises, you understand that every adverse encounter is going to be turned into an incredible testimony of His love, mercy and power. I absolutely love this time of our lives. We have grown the most during these seasons of stretching. All of the incredible testimonies I share today were birthed out of seasons just like this one.
The enemy always oversteps his hand, but our eyes just need to remain wide open to his schemes. Any time an onslaught of attacks come our way, we know that he is sensing God's hand upon our lives and He is doing every thing he can to divert us from our destiny.
I can't wait to share what amazing things God is about to do. He has never let us down! He always exceeds our greatest dreams and imagination! We may take some blows in the process, but as long as we continue to trust Him... we ALWAYS win the war!
We, as many of you, are on the launching pad of God's purpose and that's when all of our components are tested and pushed to full capacity! Look up! Our redemption draweth nigh! But even as you wait, don't settle for anything but complete peace in the presence of God! It's available for all who'll surrender their lives and seek Him with passion!
1 Peter 5:10-12 ( TPT) And then, after your brief suffering, the God of all loving grace, who has called you to share in His eternal glory in Christ, will personally and powerfully restore you and make you stronger than ever. Yes, He will set you firmly in place and build you up. And He has all the power needed to do this forever! Amen.
Psalm 55:18 (CEV) I am attacked from all sides, but you will rescue me unharmed by the battle.
2 Corinthians 4:8-10 (NLT) We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed. Through suffering, our bodies continue to share in the death of Jesus so that the life of Jesus may also be seen in our bodies.
John 15:4 (ESV) Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me.
