Deeper Still

Hebrews 4:16 (TPT) So now we draw near freely and boldly to where grace is enthroned, to receive mercy’s kiss and discover the grace we urgently need to strengthen us in our time of weakness.

All I know is that this is the title of my next book. I’ve prayed about it for over a year now. I knew that I had not yet fully experienced or understood the subject matter. Oh, I know about studying God’s Word, I know about obedience at all cost, I know about seeking Jesus with passionate fervor..,but yet... there’s more... there’s so much more He’s desiring to reveal about this intimate relationship with Him.

As I’m transitioning from a difficult season and asking God about the purpose to the trial, I’m beginning to get a glimpse of what He’s been trying to show me...

There are so many facets to our Lord and He desires for us to experience as many parts as possible. His love, provision, peace, stability, power, ability, sound mind and joy are just a few, but let’s break it down a little. If it weren’t for rejection and heartache, I never would have drawn from His love and truly understood the magnitude of it, as it flooded and healed the broken pieces of my heart. If it weren’t for seasons of lack, I never would have known Him as my provider. There were so many financial miracles He performed at just the right moments! If I never would have experienced pain and a bad report from my doctor, I would have never known of His healing power! If there was never a moment that I felt I was going to lose my mind, well... you know what I’m getting at...

The list is limitless, yet every testimony, every defining moment in my life was paved by heartache and pain. Don’t get me wrong, the testimony was in God’s rescuing power, not the attack of the enemy. You see, the process was also completed by incredible miracles and exuberant praise. Actually, I worship Him even in the storm...I have no one but Him... blame? He’s done so much for me! So, even when times are tough and all hell is seemingly breaking out against us, the only option for both survival and victory is to take our relationship with Jesus to the next level. More time must be designated for Him. It’s in those do or die moments that we realize our weakness and cling tighter to Him than we ever have. As we do this, it’s like a waterfall of His love that cascades over us! Once again, we experience the beauty of His majesty in what has seemed to be designed for our downfall, yet beautifully transformed into a revelation of His power and love.

Hmmm... deeper still... where is it that divers find the lost treasures? Deep on the ocean floor. Whether it’s circumstance driven or purely out of a desire to know Jesus more intimately, resolve to go deeper. Go deep enough to discover the treasures of His incredible love and His characteristics that are waiting to reveal the jewel you need for your victory. Most importantly is building upon the foundation of your relationship and knowledge of the One who gave everything to set you free and to experience a relationship with YOU! Don’t hold back any longer! No matter where you are in your spiritual journey, seek Him like never before, as you Go DEEPER STILL!!

Ephesians 3:18-20 (TPT) Then you will be empowered to discover what every holy one experiences—the great magnitude of the astonishing love of Christ in all its dimensions. How deeply intimate and far-reaching is his love! How enduring and inclusive it is! Endless love beyond measurement that transcends our understanding—this extravagant love pours into you until you are filled to overflowing with the fullness of God! Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for his miraculous power constantly energizes you.

2 Peter 1:2-4 (TPT) May grace and perfect peace cascade over you as you live in the rich knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. Everything we could ever need for life and godliness has already been deposited in us by his divine power. For all this was lavished upon us through the rich experience of knowing him who has called us by name and invited us to come to him through a glorious manifestation of his goodness. As a result of this, he has given you magnificent promises that are beyond all price, so that through the power of these tremendous promises we can experience partnership with the divine nature, by which you have escaped the corrupt desires that are of the world.
