Believe for the Impossible

As I study my Bible this evening... it never ceases to amaze me! The simple faith of the children of God has always had the power to produce incredible miracles...

Elijah, a human being who had the audacity to proclaim a three year drought. His proclamation was followed by a closed heaven that released no moisture until he gave the word for it to rain again. This same man was fed meat and bread day and night by the mouth of ravens! At his obedience to God's Word, he proclaims that a widow's sacrifice would be blessed by a continuous supply of oil and flour until the drought ended. His faith against all odds resuscitated her dead son. He was not intimidated by the prophets of Baal, though they were many. He taunted them with the greatness of the living God who lit a wet and saturated alter with a sudden blaze of fire that consumed the sacrifice, while the others... stood there powerless with a god who couldn't even hear them, much less perform such a magnificent miracle. This one man, Elijah, out ran a chariot as the hand of the Lord moved upon him.

This one devotion isn't long enough to tell of all the other miracles that were performed at the hand of those who trusted God with their lives. Moving in His miracle working power was as normal as taking their next breath! This was just a few things that Elijah accomplished in his lifetime and don't forget how he left this world...

So, what's troubling you today? The enemy has a way of making people believe that there's no hope. Perhaps it's a doctors report, financial situation, a broken heart or countless other scenarios that's tormenting your mind and causing fear, depression and hopelessness. The truth is, though the seriousness of your current circumstances may be true, the outcome, when delivered by the whispers of the enemy is always a lie! The "normal" development of your problem does not have to be the case in your life! We serve a God of the miraculous!

In the natural, being thrown into a firey furnace or in a pit of lions produces death, right? We must renew our minds in God's Word and develop our relationship with Him in such a way that our faith in His power becomes more real than the natural progression and outcome. He's bigger than your circumstance!! Why would a boy named David believe that he could slay a giant when mighty warriors stood in terror? He had the audacity to believe His God had more power than anyone who would dare defy His army! He believed in His power, and the authority he was given to execute His will in the earth!

Whatever you are going through, stop listening to the voice of the enemy! It's all lies! You serve a big and powerful God who loves you and has your best interest in mind! He is waiting to show forth His power in your life as He gives you a testimony that will cause others to run to Him!! Don't cower in fear! Jesus loves you and desires to use your situation to reveal His miracle working power! Believe for the MIRACULOUS!!

Mark 10:27 (KJV) And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.

1 Samual 17:45 (KJV) Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.

James 5:17 (NLT) Elijah was as human as we are, and yet when he prayed earnestly that no rain would fall, none fell for three and a half years.
