Be the Lighthouse!

Lighthouse: an aid to maritime coastal navigation, warning mariners of hazards, establishing their position, and guiding them to their destinations.

A lighthouse, a beacon of light and hope in the night. As boats would travel in the dark, oblivious to the dangers that lurked in the water, this light on a hill gave them direction. It led them on the direct route to their destination, even amidst perilous seas.

What are we called to do? We are to lead a lost and dying world to Jesus! We are the light that brings them out of darkness and directs them to their Savior, points them to the Word and disciples them into a new life of freedom and victory!

There are so many dangers that are lurking in the world. Fear and devastation are leading people to addictions and suicide at an alarming rate! We can't hide our light any longer! It must be exposed and used for the healing and deliverance of man and for the glory of God!

The world is watching, not just watching to see if you're truly blessed, but also how you handle your trials. Do you whine and complain about your problems or do you glorify God even in difficult situations! What's coming out of your mouth? Griping or faith, glorious worship, and praise?

How about your love walk? Does it reflect Christ and lead them to Him? Oh, my, my, my, my, my!! What if we were the only example of God's love they ever experienced? Would it be enough to move their hearts to seek after Jesus with fervor?

Be conscious that your life is reflecting something. Let it be Jesus!! His power and love are enough to change the hardest heart, heal the most diseased body, break the heaviest chains, and love the most unlovable! But they won't know it unless we open our mouths, tell them, and reveal it in our actions!

Be the lighthouse that draws others to the safety that can only be found and experienced in the loving arms of Jesus!!!

Matthew 5:14-16 (NKJV) “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shines before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

Ephesians 5:8-10 (NLT) For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! For this light within you produces only what is good and right and true. Carefully determine what pleases the Lord.

2 Corinthians 3:18 (NKJV) But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

2 Corinthians 4:5-6 (NLT) You see, we don’t go around preaching about ourselves. We preach that Jesus Christ is Lord, and we ourselves are your servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who said, “Let there be light in the darkness,” has made this light shine in our hearts so we could know the glory of God that is seen in the face of Jesus Christ.
