Seek Him

I don't know about the rest of you, but it seems as though I'm busier than ever as I've come out of the quarantine. Working in a dental office has certainly proven to be chaotic as we're scrambling to reschedule over a thousand patients that were canceled due to the pandemic. There's a mad dash to get everything accomplished that was put on hold for so long.

Time with God can easily fall through the cracks when the day quickly slips by and we walk in the door physically, emotionally and mentally drained.

Today's devotion is a reminder to keep God first. In the midst of going back to work, to doctors appointments, shopping and getting much needed hair cuts... don't forget the most important thing... you're relationship with Jesus! He understands our responsibilities and the necessities of life, but pushing Him aside and giving Him the left overs is unacceptable. Remember what He gave for you? He held nothing back as His flesh was beaten and torn and His body nailed to a cross.

Busy or not, He loves you with an unfailing love and waits for you to give Him the time He deserves. Nothing fancy or eloquent, just special time set aside to tell Him about your concerns and letting Him know just how much He means to you. Sitting in His presence, allowing His Spirit to wash over you, healing every wound and giving you the strength you need to face every challenge. Then reading His Word and allowing Him to speak to your heart and direct your path. This is the greatest privilege of your life! Don't waste another day missing out on what matters most! Seek HIM with all of your heart!

Deuteronomy 4:29 (NLT) But from there you will search again for the Lord your God. And if you search for him with all your heart and soul, you will find him.

Proverbs 8:17-19 (TPT) I will show my love to those who passionately love me.For they will search and search continually until they find me. Unending wealth and glory come to those who discover where I dwell. The riches of righteousness and a long, satisfying life will be given to them. What I impart has greater worth than gold and treasure, and the increase I bring benefits more than a windfall of income.

Jeremiah 29:11-13 (NKJV) For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.

Acts 17:26-28 (NIV) From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us. ‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’
