Get Ready!

In this crazy season that we are living in, our priorities are changing as we begin to see life differently. Have you realized how things that may have seemed important to you a week ago, suddenly seem minuscule in light of a pandemic? You begin to realize that even though we are suffering many inconveniences, even the loss of income, there are those who are struggling for their lives... that puts new perspective on what's important.

This is just a season and all of the chaos will soon end for those of us who are not directly effected by this virus. But what about tomorrow? What about the next big attack or struggle in your life? Are you prepared? I'm not talking about hording food or toilet paper... I'm talking about the condition of your soul. Where does your strength and identity come from? If it's your job, title, relationships, possessions or money... it's fleeting. By now you should be well aware at how quickly things can change.

There's only one thing you can depend upon... one thing that can keep you stable no matter what life throws your way and only one way to live with immovable peace and unshakable joy! That's a relationship with JESUS! I say it so often, but He's the only firm foundation that never changes! Take this time to reevaluate your life. If time with Him has not been priority, there's still time!

Make a commitment to seek His face every single day. Not His hand of blessing, don't just go to Him when you need Him, worship Him in EVERY season, even in the good times. Study His Word, that's what builds your faith. Then spend time just loving on Him and sharing your heart. Build the relationship and the next time trials come, you'll truly be prepared... deep inside your soul.

Ephesians 6:10-13 (NLT) A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm.

1 Timothy 4:7-8 (NLT) Do not waste time arguing over godless ideas and old wives’ tales. Instead, train yourself to be godly.“Physical training is good, but training for godliness is much better, promising benefits in this life and in the life to come.”

Hebrews 12:1-3 (TPT) As for us, we have all of these great witnesses who encircle us like clouds. So we must let go of every wound that has pierced us and the sin we so easily fall into. Then we will be able to run life’s marathon race with passion and determination, for the path has been already marked out before us. We look away from the natural realm and we fasten our gaze onto Jesus who birthed faith within us and who leads us forward into faith’s perfection. His example is this: Because His heart was focused on the joy of knowing that you would be His, He endured the agony of the cross and conquered its humiliation, and now sits exalted at the right hand of the throne of God! So consider carefully how Jesus faced such intense opposition from sinners who opposed their own souls, so that you won’t become worn down and cave in under life’s pressures.
