The Open Door
Revelation 3:8 (AMP) I know your deeds. See, I have set before you an open door which no one is able to shut, for you have a little power, and have kept My word, and have not renounced or denied My name.
God has many promises for His children in the scriptures. When we are going through difficult situations there is always a promise for us to stand on. When we are feeling alone and forgotten, we can turn to Deuteronomy and read that God will never leave us or forsake us. He is always there with us through it all. When we are concerned about our future we can turn to Matthew and learn that we have no need to be anxious because just as God takes care of the birds, that much more He will take care of us.
If you are in a stagnant season and feeling stuck in life, let me tell you, God has an open door for you that no man can shut! As you press into God and seek His perfect will for your life, He will guide you and direct you to the right place at the right time. When He reveals to you the door which He has opened, there is no need to stop and knock and wait around for an answer. I tell you to run through while you have your window of opportunity at hand. Don't sit around waiting on man to give you permission to do something that God has already called and assigned you to do. You will go from stuck and feeling defeated to progression and hearing people say, "we've been waiting for you!"
There was a time in our ministry that my husband and I were completely worn out in a particular area; feeling overwhelmed and exhausted my husband cried out to God and said, "this is the last time I will do this because I literally cannot do it anymore." After years of being over this part of the church, God sent a couple with a desire to lead this exact part of the ministry the very next week! God's timing is perfect! I know we don't always have to get to a place of complete desperation before He sends help, but I do know God is never late! As we were feeling a shift and needing more leaders to take over particular areas of the church, God was sending them in 2 by 2! Just as the animals were coupled on the ark before the flood, so were strong, mature couples being sent to us in time of need. Remain faithful to God and walk in obedience according to His word and allow His promises to be your solid ground!
Deuteronomy 31:6 (ESV) "Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you."
Matthew 6:25-26 (ESV) "Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?"
