Intercession Testimony

1 Timothy 2:1 (NLT) I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them.
Tuesday night my husband felt an urgency to intercede for our son in law. He said that he felt that Jesse was going to have an accident that would incapacitate him for a long period of time. He immediately began praying. A couple of hours later we received a call from our daughter stating that her husband had just been in a bad accident and totalled his car. Though he was sore from the seat belt and air bag, he was not injured. We fully believe that the enemy had meant for it to be much worse, but thankfully Rick is sensitive to the promptings of the Holy Spirit, and his prayers diverted the intended harm.
I'm so thankful to God for His goodness and the way He miraculously protected our son in law. Unfortunately, most of the time when we feel impending doom, we choose to worry instead of praying. The Holy Spirit is very subtle in the way He speaks to us. It's never a scream and it's usually a whisper. His voice can only be heard as we walk near Him and keep our ears open to what He has to say.
Next time someone comes to your mind or you get an unsettled feeling about their safety...PRAY! Intercede on their behalf, take your authority and rebuke the devourer whose sole intent is pain and destruction. Don't ever underestimate the power of prayer! You must understand what a mighty weapon it is, then use it in battle, completely confident that God is hearing you and desires to move on your behalf and that of others!
2 Corinthians 10:3-4 (NKJV) For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds.
John 14:12-14 (NLT) “I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father. You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father. Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it!"
Ephesians 6:12-13 (NLT) For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm.
