Signs Following

In my time with the Lord tonight, I'm sharing my heart concerning it's desires. As I read the Word of God I realize that I'm lacking in so many areas. I'm asking for a fresh touch of His Spirit. I want to be more productive for His Kingdom. I want to see His desires come to pass...the ministering of the Word with signs following and manifesting His Spirit in this earth. Blind eyes opened, the dead raised, the lame made whole and the sick healed. I want to look into the eyes of the one standing before me, the lost, broken and hurting, and not see their actions or outward appearance. I want to minister words that will touch them... words that I hear God saying about their lives and current situation. To move in the prophetic so great that the words I speak pierce their heart, heal their wounds and lead them to Christ without them ever uttering a word about themselves. To speak what only God would know so that they realize how much He loves and cares about them.

This world is searching for what's real. Religion has left them empty and seeking truth and fulfillment in the deceptive enticements of the enemy. The answer to their pain is a relationship with Jesus! He's the only truth and satisfaction they'll ever find. The Gospel must be ministered through the anointing of the Holy Ghost. He is the one who will awaken their spirit and enlighten the Word of God to them. They need to see the Bible come alive through passionate believers who have surrendered all to seek God and do His will. Empty words have no power to change a life, but ministering out of a place of knowing God through time spent in His presence will cause the most calloused unbeliever to hunger for what we have.

No matter where we are in our relationship with Christ, there's always more of His presence, beauty, power and love to experience. Let's go deeper and draw strength from His Spirit to touch the world around us for His glory!

1 Corinthians 2:1-5 (NKJV) And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God. For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling. And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.

1 Thessalonians 1:5 (NKJV) For our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit and in much assurance, as you know what kind of men we were among you for your sake.

Zechariah 4:6 (NKJV) So He answered and said to me: “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the Lord of hosts.

Mark 16:17-18, 20 (KJV) And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. And they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.
