Time

Psalm 90:12 (TPT) Help us to remember that our days are numbered, and help us to interpret our lives correctly. Set your wisdom deeply in our hearts so that we may accept your correction.
Time is running short. I'm about out of time. We have to go, we don't have time. It's about time. Time is up!
How often do we find ourselves complaining about a lack of time to get things done? We are all given a full 24 hours each day. It's recommended that our bodies sleep about 7-8 hours a day which is important if you want your body to function well and your attitude to be on point for the day ahead. So for the other 16-17 hours of the day, what decisions do you make? How much time is spent aimlessly scrolling through someone else's drama? Are you using any time to encourage someone? How about time with your children? When is the last time your family played a board game together? I know we all complain about not enough hours in the day but is that really true? Maybe we just don't know how to manage our time that well.
The most common thing people say they just don't have time for, is prayer. Time with God - this is a definite must on my agenda. If I don't talk to Jesus every day, I'm not as friendly and caring as I should be. When I get my time with Jesus, I am more patient, more prepared for the day, more joyful, less stressed. All the things that happen when we say we are just "too busy" (stress, anxiety, fear, worry, drama) will begin to vanish as you put your time with God a priority and gather a new perspective on life and your purpose on this earth.
When your funeral arrives, will people say, man, she sure loved the Lord and was a great witness and help to those in need or will it be more like, man, she was a nice lady and spent a lot of her time cleaning her house and doing laundry? The people who have a great impact are those who take time for others. They lend a listening ear, they see a problem and they actually do something about it. They don't care about the opinions of others and they stay focused on their goal. The good news about time is, with God, it is never too late. No matter your age, you can still have a great impact on the lives of others. For those of you struggling with your identity, I promise you this, it is far better to be influential than popular. What is popular today will fade away tomorrow. Remain steadfast in your journey and be a Godly influence to those around you.
1 Corinthians 15:33-34 (TPT) So stop fooling yourselves! Evil companions will corrupt good morals and character. Come back to your right senses and awaken to what is right. Repent from your sinful ways. For some have no knowledge of God’s wonderful love. You should be ashamed that you make me write this way to you!
Luke 10:39-42 (NIV) She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said. But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!” "Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”
