What Would Jesus Do?

Proverbs 14:12-13 (MSG) There’s a way of life that looks harmless enough; look again—it leads straight to hell. Sure, those people appear to be having a good time, but all that laughter will end in heartbreak.

Little white lies, bad attitudes, gossip, anger and unforgivness. These have unfortunately become "acceptable" sins for many Christians. Oh, they may criticize those that partake in what they consider to be "major" sins but these others... they're okay. We're only human... right? I've heard some who have gotten too much change back from a cashier or they received extra items that they didn't pay for and they saw it as a blessing... integrity is rarely heard of anymore and unfortunately that's in the world as well as the church. Though these things may not seem like a big deal, living a life of compromise is not God's best for you.

What if these so called "blessings" or "opportunities" were actually the tests you were meant to pass before going to the next level? If you desire to go deeper in your relationship with Christ and to be used in a greater capacity, begin to give your actions some serious thought. "What would Jesus do?" may sound cliche, but what would He do when faced with compromising situations? He would always choose living a life that's pleasing to God before His own personal gain or temporary pleasure. Purity and holiness isn't just an old school ideology. God still expects it from His children and we will be given plenty of chances to reveal what's really in our hearts.

Whatever choices are brought before you, always choose the one that will give glory to God and puts His desires above your own. After all...what would Jesus do?
