Romans 11:4-6 (TPT) But what was the revelation God spoke to him in response? “You are not alone. For I have preserved a remnant for myself—seven thousand others who are faithful and have refused to worship Baal.” And that is but one example of what God is doing in this age of fulfillment, for God’s grace empowers his chosen remnant. And since it is by God’s grace, it can’t be a matter of their good works; otherwise, it wouldn’t be a gift of grace, but earned by human effort.
Seeing how commercialized many churches have become - even with the best intentions - I often wonder how different the church would look and feel if all that time spent in marketing, advertising, printing, emailing etc. was spent in the prayer room in battle, fasting and believing God for breakthrough and miracles. Interceding for the lost and broken - rather than attracting a body of lukewarm seekers. Free advertising is the best advertising and when people hear that God is moving and people are being healed and set free in your church - others will come searching for this God who heals and delivers. I understand the desire to lure in the unchurched but many places have become so familiar to the unbeliever that it's no different than the world. From sports shows playing in the restrooms to explicit music playing in the lobby's and even worship teams singing songs of anti-God artists - many have lost their own way in searching for large crowds and have completely omitted any move of the Holy Spirit due to a lack of understanding. Some pastors have even claimed they don't have time for studying the bible because they are too busy reading others books to help them in counseling their congregants. I am so blown away at the lack of respect for God, my heart aches for those leaders that aren't even seeking the Truth for themselves and now they are teaching others without the wisdom of God.
I am also encouraged, however, because I know there is a remnant of Believers that are still fasting and interceding and preparing for the next outpouring of God's Spirit upon the earth. Those who are willing to sacrifice and get rid of selfish motives in order to walk in the will of God. Those who are not swayed by man but are moved by God. Are you a part of this remnant, friend? Are you ready to move forward with God and step away from mediocre Christianity? Jesus paid a high price to redeem us from hell and set us free from the bondage of sin. Let's be a part of the next great outpouring of God's Spirit and help everyone we can along the way - God is about to MOVE!
Genesis 45:7 (AMP) God sent me [to Egypt] ahead of you to preserve for you a remnant on the earth, and to keep you alive by a great escape.
Isaiah 1:9 (AMP) If the Lord of hosts Had not left us a few survivors, We would be like Sodom, We would be like Gomorrah.
