What's Your Assignment?
1 Corinthians 7:17 (AMP) Only, let each one live the life which the Lord has assigned him, and to which God has called him [for each person is unique and is accountable for his choices and conduct, let him walk in this way]. This is the rule I make in all the churches.
Do you know the assignment God has given you? We have all been assigned to do work for Christ but not all are following through with their task. Maybe you think your assignment is too menial to even bother completing - if so, have you considered that your next assignment could be even greater but God is waiting for you to complete the first task you were given?
The devil is a liar and he would love for Believers to stop short of completing God's work. We have a great responsibility to do what God has called each of us to do - we cannot think our task is not worth doing - it could lead to the salvation of many! Maybe you're in a season where your task is to raise 4 small children and the days are long yet the years are short - dear one, wake up each day with a desire to raise those kids to be confident in who they are in Christ, make sure they have a relationship with Jesus and feed them spiritual food along with all those Cheerio's!
They need great parents and leaders in their life to encourage them and equip them to go out in this world. Don't ever think your current assignment isn't much - for as you are faithful with the little, God will entrust you with much! If you have never even considered that you are on an assignment - pray today and ask God to show you why you are in your workplace, your school, your community… who needs to be encouraged? Someone around you needs a desperate touch from Heaven, you are the answer to someone's prayer! Let's rise up and complete our assignment so we may be given more work for God's glory! At the end of each day, I desire a "well done" by my Father.
John 17:4 (AMP) I have glorified You [down here] on the earth by completing the work that You gave Me to do.
