In The Wilderness
Ezekiel 20:10-12 (NLT) So I brought them out of Egypt and led them into the wilderness. There I gave them my decrees and regulations so they could find life by keeping them. And I gave them my Sabbath days of rest as a sign between them and me. It was to remind them that I am the Lord, who had set them apart to be holy.
There are times when God will lead us into the wilderness - it is not a place to fear - it is a place for us to do 3 things: listen, learn & obey. We listen to the voice of God, hear His decrees and instructions for moving forward. We learn how to find our life by stepping back and seeing the bigger picture. It's never about us, it is always about Him! What can we do to please our Father? We obey by keeping the decrees set before us, resting in Him and walking in holiness. We have been set apart to be different from the rest of the world. We are meant to stand out and look different. We should look like Jesus! As we wait upon the Lord He will be faithful to speak to us and lead us in the path of righteousness. The wilderness is only a season but it is worth the journey!
We will obtain a deeper love for Jesus, a greater revelation about the Kingdom, a better understanding of our authority in Christ, more appreciation for God's provision and a clearer vision of our purpose. Walk each day with Jesus, allow His presence to bring refreshing to your spirit so you may continue being a living testimony of God's goodness!
Acts 3:19 (AMP) So repent [change your inner self—your old way of thinking, regret past sins] and return [to God—seek His purpose for your life], so that your sins may be wiped away [blotted out, completely erased], so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord [restoring you like a cool wind on a hot day]
Psalm 27:14 (NKJV) Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!
