Spiritual Hindrances
Do you desire spiritual growth yet feel stuck and unable to move forward? The first thing you need to do is ask the Holy Spirit to reveal the blockages. It can be work, busyness, blessings, trials, fear, pride or sin. There's a limitless amount of distractions and diversions that constantly bid for our attention and prevent us from developing a relationship with Jesus. There are also things that we've allowed into our hearts that separate us from God and gives the enemy a foothold into our lives. Maybe it's lies that have been spoken over you, crushing your self esteem, making it difficult to believe the God of the universe could possibly love you. The truth is He is incredibly in love with you and desires for you to come close enough for Him to ravish you with His love.
Begin to reevaluate your life and relationship with Jesus.... is it what you would want if you gave your life to pay for someone's sins and for a relationship with them... do you feel like the time you've given Him is enough?
If you desire to know Him better, begin to take the necessary steps in His direction. Make a conscious decision to seek Jesus. Read your Bible even if you hate to read... it's not about that, but it is about doing whatever it takes to get to know the One that gave it all for you.
Stop waiting for tomorrow, today... push everything else aside and give your Savior the time He deserves... not what's left over but special time, set aside just for Him. Pray, read, share your heart, worship and listen... He has so much He desires to share with you. Everything you've been searching for can be found in His presence!
Spiritual hindrances? Do what it takes to eradicate them from your life. Nothing is worth separating you from the One who created you and paid the price for an intimate relationship with YOU!
James 4:7-10 (NKJV) Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.
Proverbs 14:14 (NKJV) The backslider in heart will be filled with his own ways, But a good man will be satisfied from above.
Joel 2:12 (NLT) That is why the Lord says, “Turn to me now, while there is time. Give me your hearts. Come with fasting, weeping, and mourning."
Jeremiah 2:19 (NKJV) Your own wickedness will correct you, and your backslidings will rebuke you. Know therefore and see that it is an evil and bitter thing that you have forsaken the Lord your God, and the fear of Me is not in you,” Says the Lord God of hosts.
